Life is full of slippery slopes...
places where you think
you are safe,
but are not.
Mom found it out
the hard way recently
by slipping on the stairs.
She got banged up pretty badly.
Ice, meds, and rest are helping her recovery.
Of course the majority of our world
has had to STOP their normal activity.
The Covid 19 virus pandemic
has really made life as we know it
dramatically different.
Be careful where you get your information.
There are people doing bad things online
by creating virus filled links under headings
you may think are safe. They are not.
So only go to the CDC for your information!

Take advice from Barbie.
Just sit quietly and breathe.
As it is when water flows over rocks,
meditation may have bumps and ripples of difficulty,
but just keep trying to find the calm.

Thank you to those
serving on the front line.
We are thankful.

If you take a walk do it close to home
and maintain the 6 feet between others rule.
(Some photos on the blog were taken before the quarantine.)
Look up! Look down!
Are you noticing the little things around you?
(Let Mom know if you find her other earring...)
You may have more time to make your eating choices
But not being able to
relax inside a restaurant is hard.

Let's hope we can get back to eating out
and supporting our economy again soon.

It's been wet here.
Lots of mud.
But Mom is glad because than more people are
STAYING HOME.
Please people.
Short walks-close to home!
Away from others!
NOT side by side close to a neighbor
or someone you don't live with!

Mom had plans to travel earlier in the month
but the coronavirus pandemic cancelled that adventure.
but the coronavirus pandemic cancelled that adventure.
She was ready to go.
Her Traveling Pants were excited.
She wanted to buy some touristy swag.
She was going to wear these necklaces
on St. Patrick's Day
after being beachside with her parents for a week.
That didn't happen so she gave the
blinking light jewelry to some neighborhood kiddos.

Mom was going to use her visit
to ask her mommy
It's hard to remember others' stories
so Mom was going to use her
computer and phone to document
what she heard.
Hopefully the trip can be rescheduled.

After her first plans got the kabash
she made some new ones. And guess what?
Well, if we have to be home,
we may as well find new ways to connect and learn!

There are things you probably shouldn't do while sheltering at home.
Maybe try an old family recipe!
It's time to remember family.
Is your neighborhood putting out things for children to see?
When you go out for your walk
are you seeing some chalk?
Exercise at home.
Put on some tunes and dance!
Are you drinking enough healthy liquids?
Are you watching shows that empower and charm you?
Before this crisis is over BILLIONS of dollars will be lost.
Think of how YOU can make a difference to help others.
Think of how YOU can make a difference to help others.
You would normally be "out there" spending $.
DONATE IT
to a cause,
to artists of all kinds,
to a food bank.
GIVE what you are able.
And if you NEED HELP - ASK!!!
Look what my author buddy
Jen Pastiloff
(author of On Being Human)
has been doing.
And the musician Steve Moakler!
When we do get to go out again,
TIP heavily,
support the little bizs first
and donate to causes that will help
people survive this financial mess.

I don't really understand what is going on.
I keep asking Mom and Dad,
Why are you staying in the home so much?
I keep asking Mom and Dad,
Why are you staying in the home so much?
No, seriously, why are you still HERE?
Just like He rose from the grave
we WILL RISE from these dark days.
Pray for those sick and in danger.
Pray for the families heartbroken by loss.

I believe in a better tomorrow.
PAWS and think of all the ways today
is better than yesterday
and what hopes you have for tomorrow.
Believe in the dream of a better future!!!
