I love having extra time! Don't you?
This month's Leap Day was such a gift!
I could procrastinate doing the blog for an extra day!
Mom spent the month hosting a celebri-tea, traveling to see friends, and dog sitting.
Here are some pics of her doings and my reactions to them.
Mom's friend's sparkly skirt dropped sequins,
but the woman did not drop enough crumbs.
Mom took an album cover like pic of my friend Coco.
And stumbled upon lots of LPs.
She also volunteered,
thrifted A LOT,
(she's stocking up items to take to Phantom Lake Y Camp)
and traveled to Indianapolis to see friends.
Mom saw some crazy stuff.
She listened to some audio books,
did some therapeutic coloring,
and took some walks in nature and about town.
She ate yummy foods.
Sometimes when Mom sees
certain colors, shapes, and objects she thinks of
particular people.
Do you see you in one of these collages?
Sometimes I get lonely when Mom goes adventuring.
To save money Mom window shops.
She sent letters and postcards.
It's fun to go exploring.
Mom made some new friends.
And collected some souvenirs.
She tried to be where her feet were.
She tried to stuff as much as she could into each experience.
And get her money's worth.
The good thing is - no matter how many miles Mom travels.
All roads lead her back home to me.
When she was home I helped her clean.
Mom does take time to stop and smell flowers.
She is not always on the go, go, go.
Mom doesn't believe in luck,
just blessings.
She'll be flying on St. Patrick's Day next month.
She's going somewhere to HAVE FUN in the SUN.
It's still cold enough here to have a fire in the fireplace.
It's cozy in front of the hearth.
I hope you PAWS to have a mug of something warm!
Are you taking time to take
some deep breaths in and out?
Are you listening to some favorite tunes?
Do you have some things on your calendar to look forward to like a concert?
Or trip abroad?
What's the missing piece in your puzzled life?
Here's some sage wisdom:
P.S.
DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!
PAWS and think of your loved ones.
Send them some love and light.
