Get a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the rainbow of colors
and interesting sites my human
mom discovered this month!
Snowdrops in April and fawn lilies blooming.
Trillions of trillium.
Swamped paths at park reserves
and skulls left for viewing.
Trees cut with shaped trunks.
Blooms a plenty.
These are a few of my favorite things.
Striped skies a storming.
Buds all a bursting.
Mushroom and fun-gi dance parties.
Popouts in purple.
Speaking of purple.
We will PAWS here for a charity plug:
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's
Team in Training wears purple swag.
Here's a link to my friend Kim's LLS fundraising page.
Please join me in donating!
Thank you!
Pink that makes your jaws drop.
Spring has arrived finally!
Earth Day reminder to pick up our garbage.
Candy marked down after Easter egg hunting.
Time for open air rides
and draggin' the line.
Outside flea market buys!
Unraveling summer plans with hopes to be at Phantom Lake YMCA Camp again!
Patio prettied.
Guest spots for the month:
Finding your way in this world can be hard.
That's why friends are needed to help!
Mom saw a family friendly version of the musical "Grease" at the local middle school.
The costumes and set designs were amazing!
(Or water them...)
Speaking of...Mom also saw the musical "Urinetown" at the local high school.
The writing is hilarious and the over the top format a hoot.
(It also reminded Mom of some of the protests and oppression going on these days.)
Ironically the electricity went out during the time Mom was gone!
Here's some more entertainment and media moments for the month:
Mom is listening to Bruce Springsteen's autobiography which he narrates. It rocks.
I am grateful for Susan Branch's book Gratitude!
Anne Lamott and Nadia Bolz-Weber's books make Mom
ponder her spiritual journey - and laugh -
giving her the opportunity to be "re-barn" again
and grow in her faith.
This month's funky fun:
We hope you are getting outside and seeing new things!
Check out these photos Mom took during the April Fool's Day
Mission:Pic Meet Up she hosted in Chicago.
Come join us for another Photo Scavenger Hunt on May 20 from 1:30-3:00!
Just by taking a photo and posting it on the Donate a Photo app
Mom has "given" over $400
(through Johnson & Johnson's donation to the charities she selected).
Join her in supporting nonprofits!
Remember to keep your chin up and keep smiling.
And don't let yourself get too caught up in the details.
(Look closely...)
I try to stay sunny side up
even thought it's been raining cats and dogs here!
But hey, if April showers bring May flowers
next month's blog will have even more pretty pics!
Take time to PAWS and TRY to live by these principles.
(WHICH IS HARD!)
